Mumbai Customs Preventive does sea patrolling of approximately 370 km long coastline from Dahanu in the north to Shrivardhan in the south. The sea patrolling is done by the Cat-I, Cat-II and Cat-III vessels of Indian Customs.

Road patrolling is carried out in the Mumbai, Mumbai suburban, Thane, Palghar and Raigad districts during day as well as night. The landing points in respective preventive circle jurisdiction are monitored through such patrolling.
