  • The Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai, is the largest air cargo complex in India in terms of the volume of cargo handled, the value of cargo, the number of documents filed, and the revenue collected.
  • A total of 1,67,466.76 metric tonnes of import cargo was handled during the financial year 2012-13. In the financial year 2013-14 (up to July 2013), a total of 54,585.98 metric tonnes of cargo was handled.
  • Two custodians, namely Mumbai International Airport Pvt. Ltd. (MIAL) and National Aviation Company of India Ltd. (NACIL), handle imports and exports at the Air Cargo Complex (ACC).
  • The Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai, features a state-of-the-art perishable shed for exports, set up by APEDA.
  • A total of 4,58,319 Bills of Entry and 4,60,819 Shipping Bills were filed at the Air Cargo Complex during the financial year 2012-13.
  • The Risk Management System (RMS) was introduced at the Air Cargo Complex in December 2005. During the financial year 2012-13, 64.80% of Bills of Entry were processed under RMS. Up to July 2013, the percentage of Bills of Entry covered under RMS was 54.17%.
  • In the financial year 2012-13, the duty foregone under various export incentive schemes amounted to ₹8,943.79 crore.
  • In July 2013, the duty foregone under various export incentive schemes amounted to ₹889.72 crore.
  • During the financial year 2012-13, a refund of ₹187.98 crore was disbursed. In the financial year 2013-14 (up to July 2013), a refund of ₹75.94 crore was disbursed.
  • In the financial year 2012-13, the drawback sanctioned amounted to ₹280.30 crore. During the financial year 2013-14 (up to July 2013), the drawback sanctioned amounted to ₹154.24 crore.
